This summer has proven to be a busy one! It seems like it just started and we are already into the last few days. Spending time with my family has been my #1 priority but I have managed to squeeze in a bit of work here and there.
Peace Sign Hemp Bracelet ~Black hemp with a red Magnesite peace sign and finished off with a sliding clasp which makes this bracelet totally adjustable. Perfect for guys or girls and since this bracelet isn't crafted in summer colors, this is a piece that will carry you into fall. Available in my etsy shop!https://www.etsy.com/listing/242391737/peace-braceletAll of my jewelry is 100% guartanteed, meaning if it ever breaks during normal wear, I will fix it for free! This customer broke her silver Message Ring. We talked about the durability of the copper version and how it is sturdier than the aluminum. She ended up getting a replacement for the silver and ordered a copper version as well. These rings are one of my favorites! I love the simple look of them but the fact that they are hand stamped with whatever you choose adds a lot of meaning to them. I've been wearing mine almost daily since I made the first ones in December and they still look great!
Ever since I started working with wire I wanted to be able to cage stones, cabachons and other random objects to form pendants. Why I took the plunge during one of the busiest months of the year for me, I have no idea, but I finally did it and was pretty happy with the results! The first one I made was with a cabachon my dad brought me back from Texas and it sold almost immediately after I posted it on Facebook. The next 3 were made with stones collected off the shore from Lake Michigan. I am sort of a rock hoarder and love collecting stones from my creek and the Great Lakes. I am excited about these and am thinking about starting a Great Lakes Collection with stones from Lakes Michigan, Huron and Superior.
This necklace was a revamp I made for a friend. She sent me this cute little frog charm which was a graduation gift she received years ago. She also sent a necklace with the pink lampwork glass beads, metal beads and chain. I took the necklace apart, using the beads and some of the chain. The focal was created with her frog charm, a metal bead and glass teardrop bead and a banner charm that says "She got 3 wishes", giving it a fairytale feel. The sari silk also adds a whimsical touch. I love doing re-vamps....taking an existing piece and breathing a whole new life into it!
And that is about the extent of my work for this month! School starts soon and I will be back to my old schedule and able to find more time to get more things done.....I hope! As always, thanks for reading this and thank you to all my amazing clients and customers! You are why I do what I do!
